Mantrafesto Notes from UCLA

There was good conversation during the Q and A at my talk at UCLA, and I want to think more about these questions that were raised about my mantra:

  • what is the feminist function of invisibility online (and I’d add silence)?
  • what is the feminist function of anonymity online?
  • what is the feminist function of vulnerability online?

The class I spoke to was in an art school, and so the students were really primed (and able) to make work in response to my queries (and those from Concordia). Their work now sits in the Gallery (pull down menu above), under UCLA. I hope users will take a look, and better yet respond to, or reflect upon, some of the amazing submissions that were made.
